The Bond: Birmingham’s Newest Industrial-Chic Wedding Venue
The Bond is Birmingham’s newest wedding destination, a repurposed and revitalized industrial building that combines historic Victorian architecture with high-class modern facilities. This unique venue, which had been sitting empty for many years, has been transformed into an ideal city centre location for weddings, offering a mix of old-world charm and contemporary style.
A Unique City Centre Wedding Venue
Located in Digbeth, Birmingham, on the Grand Union Canal, The Bond offers a distinctive setting for your special day. The venue is fully licensed for civil ceremonies at the Gatehouse, which accommodates up to 160 guests. This light and airy space overlooks its private wharf, creating a beautiful backdrop for your wedding ceremony. For those looking to make a memorable entrance, arriving by boat is a fun and unique option!
Stunning Spaces for Your Celebration
After the ceremony, guests can move to The Canopy for drinks and canapés. This space, surrounded by glass, offers stunning views of the River Rea and the canal. The Canopy can hold up to 300 guests for a drinks reception, and the venue can accommodate up to 250 guests for the wedding breakfast. Whether your theme is formal with top hats and tails or casual with flip-flops and Hawaiian shirts, The Bond can accommodate any style. The experienced team will work closely with you to ensure that the atmosphere and decor perfectly match your vision.
Industrial Charm with a Modern Twist
The Bond is situated at the junction of the River Rea and the Grand Union Canal and boasts its own wharf, making it a picturesque spot for wedding photos. The venue offers a bespoke plant-filled cobbled courtyard with an outdoor canopy right next to the canal, perfect for mingling and photo opportunities. The five main structures, built from Digbeth’s iconic red brick and complemented by Victorian metalwork, provide an industrial vibe that adds character and charm to your wedding day.
Exceptional Catering and Facilities
On-site catering at The Bond offers a range of delicious options, from dainty canapés to lavish feasts and midnight buffets. The venue is licensed to serve alcohol until midnight, allowing your celebration to continue late into the night. For those seeking a unique, quirky, and edgy city centre venue with an industrial flair, The Bond offers everything needed to create a memorable wedding day.
Explore the Surroundings of Digbeth
The Bond’s location in the heart of Digbeth makes it an ideal starting point to explore the neighborhood’s unique features. Just a few minutes’ walk away, the famous street art, cobbled streets, old warehouses, and railway viaducts provide an edgy backdrop for stunning bride and groom photos.
Host Your Entire Day Under One Roof
As an exclusive-use venue, The Bond is licensed to hold ceremonies in two different areas, accommodating up to 120 guests. The Gatehouse can cater to up to 160 seated guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 200 for an evening reception, allowing you to host your entire day under one roof.
For couples seeking an industrial-chic wedding venue with a modern twist, The Bond in Birmingham is the perfect choice. Its combination of historic charm, modern amenities, and unique location ensures a wedding day that you and your guests will never forget.
Recommended Photographer
I’m a recommended The Bond wedding supplier, plus an award-winning wedding photographer.
What I love about working at The Bond and the surrounding Digbeth wedding venues, is the abundant street-art and structures around The Custard factory area. It all makes for a unique backdrop for the bride and groom’s walkabout photos. There’s so much to see and capture. This makes each wedding unique.
I’d love to photograph your The Bond wedding celebrations.
