amazing job at capturing our wedding!

Digbeth Wedding

I had an enjoyable day as Brogan and Ben’s Digbeth wedding photographer, especially as this was the first time visiting this unique venue on my doorstep.

The Bond Company is situated in the heart of the Digbeth area of Birmingham, not too far other venues like Fazeley Studios and The Old Library

The Wedding Day

The day started with me meeting up at their Digbeth wedding venue, The Bond to capture the groom and friends decorating the room’s before the wedding.

Then I travelled over to where the Brogan was getting ready to photograph her getting ready in the morning.

When I arrived back at The Bond, I met up with the registrar Tom Skehan for a brief chat before the ceremony. Tom has presided over many weddings I’ve been at over the years, and you won’t forget his face, as he’s an official Tony Blair look-a-like.

Naturally, he was at his peak with his current jokes etc while Tony Blair was prime-minister. But it’s good to see him still serving as a registrar. He’s a great character and if you get him as your registrar, you’ll have a relaxed and enjoyable ceremony.

After the ceremony, the relaxed and fun tone of the day continued until the evening, as Brogan, Ben and their friends certainly know how to have a good time!

As usual, I’ll let their images, tell the complete story of an amazing The Bond Birmingham wedding ceremony and reception.

HOW HE PROPOSED

On my 30th birthday I thought all my presents were done until flowers arrived with a note to say there’s one more present…down on one knee he was. (Although he had his leg in plaster at the time which I’m sure he didn’t have as part of his plan)

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT

Brogan’s Answer: Walking down the aisle
Ben’s Answer: During my speech I was thanking people who had helped us with the wedding, my new wife went to hand out a bouquet of flowers but her dress was so big it ended up dragging one of the balloon decorations along with her. The whole room broke into hysterics and is so typical of Mrs Mackie.
