Alfreton Hall is a hidden gem in the middle of Alfreton Derbyshire. This estate house that dates back to Norman times was designated a world heritage site in 1988.

Although situated in the middle of a town, the acres of adjoining woodland and garden areas provide a beautiful country-manor setting to your wedding, unlike any town based venue.

You can have the venue as an exclusive-use venue for your wedding celebrations and over-night stay for a few of your guests.

There are 8 boutique rooms with 3 enjoying the stunning views of the grounds. But if you need more rooms, Alfreton Hall are able to offer you exclusive deals with 2 nearby hotels and they can even arrange a minibus or taxi to get you to your hotel in comfort.

The ample outdoor and indoor areas means everyone can feel relaxed and uninhibited as they freely wander around exploring different places. This allows me too to get relaxed documentary photos as everyone enjoys themselves chatting and exploring.

Alfreton Hall is licensed for civil weddings so you have a selection of rooms to choose from. There’s The Library with seating for up to 82 guests. Or there’s the Grand Palmer-Moorewood Suite which holds up to 120 guests.

If you fancy a traditional church wedding, there’s the nearby Alfreton Church, which is in walking distance.

But be aware if you plan to use a double-decker vintage bus to ferry your guests. Some of the corners from the church to Alfreton Hall are very tight and an expert driver is needed!

There’s plenty of free parking at Alfreton Hall.

If you plan outdoor speeches, the drinks reception area is ideal as there’s ample room for all your guests to see and hear all the exciting and embarrassing stories waiting to be told! At the same time, why not serve pizza freshly cooked in their outdoor pizza kitchen?
