Clive was a calming and approachable presence… His photographs are of the highest quality — beautifully capturing every emotion and moment without ever feeling intrusive.– Matthew & Victoria
Some weddings stay with you long after the day has ended — and Matthew and Victoria’s spring wedding was definitely one of those.
Morning Moments and Meaningful Gifts
From the moment I arrived at Gorcott Hall, there was a calm but excited energy in the air. I had the pleasure of capturing both Matthew and Victoria’s morning prep in different parts of the venue.
One especially touching moment was when Victoria gave Matthew a handwritten note — the kind that makes you pause. His reaction was full of emotion and set the tone for the rest of the day.
Victoria had also gifted him a handkerchief embroidered with:
“Dear Matthew, For your Happy Tears. Love, Victoria 01 05 2025.”
And both wedding rings had something extra special engraved inside — Victoria’s said “Love you more,” while Matthew’s read “Love you most.” Personal touches like these always add an extra emotional depth to the story.
Ceremony Joy and Streamer Celebrations
Their ceremony was heartfelt and full of emotion — you could feel how much this day meant to everyone there. When Matthew and Victoria walked back down the aisle, their guests greeted them with a wave of colourful streamers, adding a fun, joyful burst of movement and colour to their exit as the new Mr and Mrs.
Those with a keen eye might wonder how I managed to capture both the front and back angles during the ceremony — especially when it’s just me, and there’s no way to move around discreetly. That’s a story for another day, but it’s one of the little ways I like to add value as a single photographer… blending in quietly, without the distraction that can sometimes come with having two shooters.
Sunshine, Wisteria, and a Relaxed Garden Vibe
The weather couldn’t have been better — warm spring sunshine meant the gardens were filled with laughter and conversation throughout the afternoon. Guests mingled, drinks flowed, and the whole vibe was relaxed and joyful.
The wisteria was in full bloom and made the perfect natural frame for a few quiet moments with Matthew and Victoria. It’s always a bonus when nature lends a hand — especially when it fits so seamlessly into the couple’s story.
A Short Day, But a Full Story
Even though I was only with them for six hours, I was able to tell a faithful story of their whole day — from the emotional notes and personal tokens in the morning, to the sunlit garden scenes and group celebrations just before everyone was called in for their wedding breakfast.
Final Thoughts
Matthew and Victoria, thank you again for having me along for your wedding day. It was a privilege to be there and to witness how deeply you care for each other. I know your love will only grow stronger with time — and I hope these photos will always bring you back to the joy, calm, and love you shared on this beautiful spring day.
