As a working farm and part of The Family Care Trust—a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and brain injuries—every penny of generated income contributes directly to the farm’s development. This exclusive venue is available for weddings on weekends only.

Versatile Outdoor Wedding Settings

Newlands Bishops Farm is licensed for wedding ceremonies through the Solihull registry office, and celebrant-led ceremonies are also welcome. Operating on a self-catering basis, the venue offers the flexibility to align your theme with your preferred catering choice.

Couples can choose from two exceptional outdoor settings:

• Woodland Area: Set beside a rustic wooden arch surrounded by beautiful trees, this serene setting is perfect for a romantic ceremony.
• Tipi Area: Located beside the Tipi, this area offers rolling farmland as a picturesque backdrop for your vows.

On-site facilities include toilets and electricity, eliminating the need for additional rentals. For a unique touch, elevate your celebration with a reception drink served from a charming tractor bucket.

The Triple Hat Tipi

As an exclusive farm venue, Newlands Bishops Farm features a distinctive triple hat tipi that you can decorate according to your chosen color scheme. Accommodating around 120 guests, this space is well-equipped for your special day, including room for 150 evening guests. The tipi comes with flooring, lighting, wooden benches, and a dance floor. A decking area off the main building, adorned with festoon lighting, provides an additional charming space.

Beautiful Gardens and Outdoor Areas

Explore the extensive landscaped gardens at Newlands Bishops Farm, which include a cottage garden, woodland walk, recycled garden, orchard, and a beach garden with a walk-in sandpit. These areas offer ample opportunities for games, photographs, and keeping children entertained.

Enhance the atmosphere with hay bale sofas, sheepskins, and a fire pit with replenished wood throughout the evening. Enjoy giant Jenga, Connect 4, 4ft giant LOVE letters, and a staffed bar on Saturdays. The bar and music can operate from noon until 11 pm or extend until midnight for an additional charge.

Extend Your Celebration

Dance the night away in the triple hat tipi, adorned with twinkling fairy lights for a romantic ambiance. Since the site is yours for the entire weekend, you can extend the joy into Sunday with a relaxed BBQ. The farm’s café, with its garden leading to a flat 3-acre field, offers a perfect setting for this.

Additional Details

Newlands Bishops Farm is currently not licensed for wedding ceremonies but plans to obtain a license from the summer of 2023. In the meantime, couples can hire a celebrant for their ceremony. The farm adapts to any style or theme you choose for your wedding.

The large field, where the double linked hat tipi stands between May and October, looks out onto 30 acres of grazing horses and sheep, providing lovely photo opportunities. The farm building features an attractive garden area with decking and large landscaped gardens, including various themed gardens and a woodland walk.

Extra touches include hay bale couches, a cake stand, logs, fire pits, giant games, and more. The bar and music license extends from 12 noon to 11 pm, with an option to extend until midnight for an additional fee. Although camping is not allowed on site, preferential rates at local hotels are available.
