A Historic 14th-Century Manor House

Nestled near Hereford, this Grade I listed 14th-century Manor House offers exclusive use of an 800-acre estate, complete with a moat, woodlands, picturesque grounds, a farmhouse, and the traditional barn known as The Knot. This venue is the perfect location for your wedding celebrations.

Unique and Elegant Manor Features

The Manor boasts ornate ceilings, mullioned windows, beams, staircases, and grand fireplaces, creating a truly unique setting for your big day. Two idyllic cottages, just a short walk from the house, offer peaceful accommodation the night before your wedding. The Butterfly Suite, which includes access to a hot tub, tennis courts, and a snooker room, can be reserved exclusively for your partner.

Ceremony and Reception Options

On your big day, final preparations can take place in the beautiful bridal suite, The French Room. The ceremony can be held within the Manor, with options like the Elizabethan Library, Queen Anne Dining Room, and Medieval Banqueting Hall, each offering its own unique charm. For further celebrations, The Knot Barn, set in the grounds with spectacular views across the hills, is ideal. Outdoor ceremonies can be held in the Ancient Courtyard, Wordsworth Lawn, Astley Pergola, or the sun-dappled Woodland. For a traditional church service, Brinsop Church St George’s is just 5 minutes away.

Reception and Evening Festivities

Receptions can be enjoyed in the dining spaces within The Banqueting Hall or The Knot Barn. Daytime food is provided by the venue’s sole caterers, while the Brinsop team takes over for the evening. Guests can travel across the oak boardwalk, under wooden pergolas, to The Knot Barn for the party. This space, designed for larger numbers, can also be sectioned for smaller, more intimate occasions. A 4m screen can project films and images for remote loved ones. As the festivities continue, guests can relax around fire pits and enjoy a wood-fired clay pizza oven.

Accommodation and Additional Features

For more than 250 guests, a marquee can be added, and fireworks are permitted through the venue’s sole supplier. On-site accommodation is available, with The Bailey Wing on the first floor containing 4 bedrooms with marble fireplaces and high ceilings, sleeping 8 guests in total. Tirrells Wing, split over the ground and first floors, offers 5 bedrooms and a large farmhouse kitchen, accommodating 7 guests. Ivy Cottage is a private one-bedroom retreat for the newlyweds, featuring a private terrace and a hot tub with magnificent views over the woodlands.

Glamping and On-Site Facilities

For those who prefer glamping, tents within the estate are equipped with proper beds, plug-in heaters, bedside tables, lighting, and electric plug sockets. On-site facilities include flushing toilets, hot showers, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a communal fridge. This historic venue truly is the ideal choice for your memorable day.
