Chris & Barbs celebrated their wedding at the Kitchen Garden Café in King’s Heath, surrounded by around 70 of their closest family and friends.
From the start, their plans were all about keeping things relaxed. No fuss, no over-complicated schedule, just a day where everyone could enjoy being together.
With family and friends coming from different parts of the world, there was a lovely international feel to the celebration, with English and Spanish both very much part of the day.
The Kitchen Garden Café suited them perfectly too. Rather than everyone being confined to one formal space, guests could move between the different areas, chat, eat, laugh and simply enjoy the afternoon.
I photographed it in much the same way — quietly moving between people and letting things happen naturally.
Here are a few early sneak peek images from their day.
These are just a handful of photographs from the day. There are plenty more moments to view, including the people, reactions and little bits of the story Chris and Barbs may not even have realised were happening around them.

Planning a Wedding That Feels Like You?
Your wedding does not need to feel like a photoshoot.
My approach is centred on quietly documenting the people, interactions and fleeting moments that make the day personal. We can still include the family photographs that matter, but I keep them organised and efficient so you can return to enjoying your guests.
