5 Star
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars just aren’t enough!
21 years, two weddings and the same photographer! Clearly, Clive is so good I had to book him twice! 😂
Having Clive photograph our special day again, this time with our children, felt like having an old friend around.
I honestly can’t praise him enough. He somehow manages to keep the whole day running smoothly without you even noticing. He’s quietly in the background, organising everyone, finding the best light and capturing all those lovely natural moments. Nothing feels staged or forced, and he makes it all look so effortless.
Our wedding was exactly how we wanted it — relaxed, happy and full of lovely memories. Clive really did make it that extra bit special.
Thank you, Clive, for being part of our story again. You’re an absolute star! ❤ Couldn’t recommend you enough!
I had the privileged of photographing Stella’s first wedding 21 years ago. So was thrilled when she reached out again for me to capture her second wedding!!.
Stella and Alistair’s wedding was a small, relaxed and deeply personal day, centred around family, children, music and the people who mattered most.
It was not a day built around formality or fuss. It was gentle, simple and full of warmth, with around twenty people gathered together to celebrate with them. That smaller guest list gave the whole day a calm, intimate feeling, and meant there was plenty of space for people to talk, laugh, enjoy the music and simply be present with one another.
From the beginning, Stella was very clear that she wanted the day to feel natural. Nothing too staged, nothing overly structured, and no pressure to turn the wedding into something it wasn’t. She wanted to enjoy the day, spend time with her family, and have honest photographs of the people she loves.
That suited my approach perfectly.
A Small Ceremony Full of Meaning
The ceremony itself was simple and heartfelt.
As guests arrived, a string quartet played in the background, giving the room a calm and elegant atmosphere without making the day feel formal or overdone.
Aiden, Stella’s four-year-old son, led the entrance into the room, followed by Helen, Mary, Mu and Rebecca. Then Stella walked in with William, her thirteen-year-old son. It was a lovely way to begin the ceremony, with the children and family very much part of the story from the start.
Alistair had Jack and Connor with him as his best men, and the ceremony had a relaxed, family-centred feeling throughout.
There are some wedding days where the most meaningful moments are not the grand ones. They are the small glances, the children moving around naturally, the quiet smiles, the way family members watch each other, and the little reactions that happen when no one is trying too hard.
This was very much that kind of wedding.
A Relaxed, Unstaged Approach
Stella and Alistair did not want a day that felt overly formal or heavily posed.
There were no formal group photographs requested, so the focus stayed on natural storytelling. Hugs, conversations, children, family reactions, and the gentle flow of the day.
That is one of the things I enjoy most about smaller weddings. There is often more room to notice people properly. The pace is a little softer. Guests are not rushing from one part of the day to another, and the photographs can reflect that.
Instead of interrupting things, I worked quietly in the background, looking for the moments that told the story honestly.
The result was a set of photographs built around connection rather than performance.
A Day That Felt True to Them
Every wedding has its own rhythm.
Some are big and energetic. Some are carefully styled and full of detail. Others are quiet, simple and intimate.
Stella and Alistair’s day had its own lovely rhythm. It was relaxed, personal and family-focused, with the children woven naturally through the whole story.
There was music, conversation, laughter, a beautiful ceremony, and time for everyone to enjoy being together.
For me, that is what wedding photography is really about. Not turning the day into a photoshoot, but quietly preserving the people, atmosphere and moments that made it special.
Stella and Alistair wanted their wedding to feel easy, relaxed and go-with-the-flow.
And that is exactly how it felt.

Your wedding does not need to be huge or overly formal to be meaningful.
